Post Doctoral Fellow - PSHMC Psychiatry OP

JOB SUMMARY: The Postdoctoral fellow will develop specialized clinical expertise in empirically supported psychotherapy for symptoms of related mental illnesses, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Additionally, the fellow will develop expertise in neuropsychological assessment and/or diagnostic assessments. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be able to begin to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team. The fellowship is a 12 month position starting July 2019 with the option of a second year pending agreement between the Fellow and the Fellowship Directors. The decision to stay on for a second year will be made no later than six months following the start of the position. The first year of the Fellowship consists of approximately 50% direct client contact (see Clinical Services and Research/NIDILRR below) and 50% research (see Research below). If a second year of the Fellowship is agreed upon, 35% will consist of direct client contact (see Clinical Services below) and 65% will consist of research activities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology required. Requirements include completion of all professional doctoral degree requirements from a regionally accredited institution of higher education or an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited program and a pre-doctoral internship meeting Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) standards. PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology is preferred. CLINICAL SERVICES: The Fellow will provide outpatient individual and group psychotherapy, as well as diagnostic assessment services to individuals with ASD across the lifespan with an emphasis on adolescence and young adulthood. The Fellow will spend approximately 35% of their time conducting direct clinical services at the Division of Autism Services Outpatient offices, with approximately 25% estimated to be individual and group psychotherapy and 10% diagnostic assessment.
