Network Administrator

Our client is a very well-established manufacturer in the food industry, seeking a Network Administrator to support approximately 110 users. This position is open due to a recent promotion. The Network Administrator will administer and coordinate the LAN activities (local area network) as well as identify and implement improvements to the IT systems.
Responsibilities of the Network Administrator:
Designs, specifies, configures, installs and maintains Local Area Network hardware, software and telecommunications services such as PC's, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, bridges, switches, modems, cabling and Internet service providers
Develops and implements policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security and back-up
Establishes and maintains network users, user environment, directories and security
Trains users on usage and serves as a resource to resolve related problems
Works with departments and managers to develop system solutions
Negotiates with vendors and coordinates activities pertaining to hardware, software, telecommunications and support
Installs and tests software upgrades.
Supervises one IT Support Technician
Requirements for Network Administrator:
Bachelor's degree or certificate program OR 2-4 years related experience and/or trainingOR a combination of education and experience
Strong knowledge in HP Switching, Fiber Networking, Firewall Administration, Network Security, AD, VOIP and Apple IOS
Experience with Apple Mac server, Unix, MS Exchange, Symbol/Motorola Mobile technology and Motorola wireless switching
Knowledge of Sharepoint
Windows Server Administration Certificate and Sharepoint Administrative Certificate desired
Ability to prepare detailed reports and correspondence, as well as procedure manuals
Ability to conduct training for employees

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
