; prior to the provision of services to advse patients of any non-covered services/out of pocket expenses.
To address any and all questions/concerns from patients/payors regarding services, rights and responsibilities, cost, etc.
RESPONSIBLE TO:
The Office Manager The Patient The Practitioner responsible for patient The Payor (payor representative) RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Light receptionist duties as needed Code and prepare work orders for data entry Secure necessary documentation to comply with policies outlined by payor(s) Verify benefits and pre-certify services Professionalism in conduct, appearance and communication Competence and familiarity with procedures of varied payors Provide patients information couteously and explicitly Assure flow of service from initial contact to delivery of device
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited High School Experience/Knowledge:
Prior work experience in a healthcare facility a plus.
Prefer candidate has knowledge in communicating with insurance companies.
