Job Description:
This position is responsible for greeting, registering and orienting guests visiting The Hotel Hershey.
This position is also responsible for providing our guests with exceptional customer service, following proper uniform standards, maintaining cleanliness of your work environment, and gaining knowledge of specific job duties.
This is a seasonal position available for the summer season beginning April/May.
The working schedule may include morning, mid-day, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
Job Functions:
Greeting & checking-in guests upon their arrival.
Registering guests and confirming room rates; Providing information about the Hotel and other attractions within the company and the area Maintaining an accurate count of room status and availability Reserving guest rooms in accordance with special requests Processing guest room charges Receiving payments on accounts Balancing receipts at the end of each shift Answering telephones Handling guest questions/concerns/complaints.
Basic
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Minimum of (1) one year of guest service experience required, preferably in a front desk or hotel operations.
Additional
Qualifications:
Proven guest relations, problem solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work with computerized front office systems, file, computer figures, and handle cash with a high degree of accuracy.
Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task.
Must be comfortable handling money Must present a professional image representative of the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts mission & core values.
Must be able to work independently and in a team setting.
Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other employees and be able to interact with our guests Must possess a positive attitude and be able to handle guest complaints with ease and professionalism Must be organized and able to handle clerical activities, such as filing, answering phones and filling out paperwork Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shifts Must be able to speak, write, and understand English Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information Must be comfortable handling money Experience with reservations systems preferred.
Working Conditions:
Ability to work in a hectic, fast-paced environment.
Physical requirements include standing (up to 100% of the shift), hearing, speaking, performing detailed work at close distances, and finger dexterity.
Schedule includes various shifts between the hours of 6AM-Midnight including weekends & holidays.
