Business Intelligence Operations Senior - Information Services Enterprise Information Management at Penn State Health in Hershey, PA
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under general direction from the BI Operations Team Lead, the BI Operations - Senior role will be responsible for driving daily activities in Enterprise Information Management including:
monitoring of analytic, data warehouse, data integration, and master data management operations, service request fulfillment, release management, and troubleshooting. Ensure documentation is completed and effective customer communication is executed in accordance with processes and procedures. The BI Operations Senior position requires the ability to build and implement detailed technical BI solutions to meet business requirements.
Responsibilities:
Act as a subject matter expert. Provide analysis, consultation, and execution of service requests. Assists with research on effort and feasibility of requests. Evaluate existing services and perform analysis on new products/services and suggest operational procedures. Recommend appropriate solutions by setting customer expectations (complexity, timeline, deliverables). Utilize, create, update and manage documentation to troubleshoot and resolve issues, adjust for new processes and enhancements. Has an understanding of analytics, data warehousing, big data, data management concepts and working knowledge of SQL and database technologies. Understands and follows basic data quality processes. Provide mentorship to other team members on a variety of subjects. Provide expertise in the analysis of projects. Assist with incidents when needed to resolve in a timely and effective manner. Assure that daily jobs and processes have been monitored and executed. Troubleshoot issues with data quality, business intelligence applications, and performance. Perform and assist in analysis of the actively executing projects. Participate in the Project Management life cycle when needed. Work with other Operations staff in operational activities MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. 4 years of related experience required.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
